Job Summary

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager, the Brand Manager will devise, recommend and after approval, implement and execute strategic brand marketing plans, which will ensure achievement of key performance indicator targets for the brands within the responsible brand portfolio.

 

The main responsibilities include:

Further developing, in conjunction with the Sr. Brand Manager, the brands' strategic positioning with particular emphasis on the brand strategy, brand communication & media strategy, and channel execution strategies.
Contributing to the planning cycle by providing strategic input into long term plans, using all tools necessary to understand consumer & customer motivations and ensuring brand equity and market share development.
Developing, managing and executing the brand plans for the differing brands in line with company priorities, whilst ensuring contribution to brand and communication strategy and determining required resources for implementation to deliver volume growth, share growth, equity growth and contribution.
Direct and liaise with Trade Marketing On-trade and Off-trade.
Championing the responsible brands within the company including the Global Brand teams.
Managing the evaluation of the brands' performance using all available tools in conjunction with regular trade and customer visits including regular attendance at relevant consumer connections.
Managing the brands' packaging development with focus on improving costs in conjunction with Supply Chain. Working with internal and external brand owners to ensure appropriate marketing mix including pack design and developments.
Influencing and managing the innovation on the brand for ROI and NI.
Developing and managing the brands' visibility strategy.
Zero Based Budgeting - Managing, controlling and reporting on the brand budget.
Any other duties assigned from time to time.

Applicants should ideally:

Have a third level qualification (preferably in business/marketing) with at least 6 years experience in a marketing discipline. Preferred Brand Manager experience
Have strong experience in Marketing and Trade Marketing execution in both the on-trade and off-trade channel.
Communication development experience - premium quality brands.
Have a strong awareness of the importance of consumer and customer focus.
Be computer literate with experience of digital communication and possess the necessary organisational, presentation, analytical and strategic skills to perform in this very demanding role.
Be self-motivated, creative and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Have the ability to influence, negotiate, multi-task, make decisions and take responsibility for own actions.
